Should You Take an Early Retirement?
September 10, 2020How to Manage Your 401(k) When You Switch Jobs
October 2, 2020To say it’s been a trying year so far is probably the understatement of a lifetime, especially since none of us (unless you were around one hundred years ago) have ever experienced a global pandemic that brought the world to its knees. This once-in-a-lifetime experience (hopefully!) has created not only financial challenges, but emotional ones as well.
As objective, comprehensive advisors, our job is to offer advice, management, and service that is hopefully exceptional, but also free of emotional input during this very stressful time. And so, as always, we put ourselves to this annual test: we again seek your input to see how good a job we are doing. Though we pride ourselves on knowing our clients very well, we’d be remiss if we did not solicit this input periodically; especially at times like this – when the markets seem to be full of greed and the economy full of fear – we need to take your pulse (for lack of a better phrase) and make sure we are within your risk tolerance level.
As always, please remember that these report cards are not immediately actionable. In other words, we do not change anything simply because someone indicates that they feel like they are over- or under-weight in stocks or bonds. Instead, we use the input to begin a dialogue to see if any allocation changes actually need to be made; if nothing else, this conversation may help calm some nerves during this time of heightened uncertainty and stress.
Please also know that we will continue to stay in contact with you on a very consistent basis. This contact, whereby we review and solicit pertinent information, is the basis for our comprehensive advice; in times like this, we also hope it reassures you to know that someone is always on the lookout for you financially. And finally, selfishly, we want to provide a service that you have no hesitation in recommending to others.
So, please fill out the report card on the flip side of this page and return it in the self-addressed stamped envelope, or feel free to scan/email it to us at TheFinanceCouple@lpl.com. And, as always, thank you very much for your friendship and trust - as well as your input!
